Can you relate to any of these statements?

When I come home my dog jumps all over me.
On walks my dog pulls on the lead.
My dog barks for long periods in the back yard.
In the park my dog shows aggression towards other dogs.
My dog pushes past me to exit the front door first.
If she’s left alone my dog barks and howls and is destructive.
My dog follows me everywhere, he’s like my shadow.
Nearly every time I call my dog he ignores me.

These are just a few of the common problem behaviours a dog may display if it thinks it’s the boss of you and your family – or the pack leader.

Dogs are not capable of successfully running a household and the above behaviours are a result of them trying to assert their status as pack leaders, and becoming stressed by their inability to take care of their human family.

In order for your dog to be calm, happy and well-adjusted it must have an owner who behaves like the pack leader (see Pack Background to understand the importance of the pack).

Michelle will show you how to become a pack leader and improve your relationship with your dog by using a proven technique that has been developed by international dog behaviour expert, Jan Fennell, author of the best seller The Dog Listener.

As a professional dog trainer, taught by Jan Fennell, Michelle will teach you how to become a pack leader and:

* understand your dog’s behaviour;

* communicate with your dog using a language it understands; and

* provide your dog with what it needs to lead a happy and stress-free life.

The technique of Dog Listening has proved successful for thousands of dog owners around the world because it’s based on a dog’s natural instincts and has been developed after the extensive study of wolves (the dog’s closest relative) in the wild.

It’s a gentle and kind method that will help establish you as your dog’s leader without any force, domination or gadgets.

The technique is simple but by no means a quick fix. The skills Michelle will teach you must be used consistently, every day, for the life of your pet.

Dog Listening is for people who are committed to changing the way they interact with their dogs and who have the desire and the time to develop a deeper, more meaningful bond with their pets.
